A Look into Online Roulette Games

Roulette Rules

There are two main version of roulette, but the rules are basically identical with both games. These two popular versions include European Roulette and American Roulette. The latter (American Roulette) contains two green zeros and 36 individual numbers rather than just one green zero and 36 numbers. When playing online, most table limits range from as little as 1.00 coin up to as much as 500.00 coins and when you launch roulette for the first time, you will be prompted to select your preferred table limits.

The following bets are available when playing roulette: You can place a bet on the outcome of the ball landing on numbers 1 to 18, 19 to 36, Even or Odd and Red or Black, while receiving odds of 1:1 for any of these bets. This means that if you place a bet of 1.00 coin and you win, you will receive your 1.00 coin back, plus another 1.00 coin on top (total returns = 2.00 coins). If you place a Column or Dozen Bet, you will receive odds of 2:1.

If you place a Line Bet (a line contains 12 numbers), you will receive odds of 5:1. If you place a Corner Bet, you will receive odds of 8:1. If you place a Street Bet, you will receive odds of 11:1. If you place a Split Bet, you will receive odds of 17:1 and if you place a Straight Up Bet, you will receive odds of 35:1. Once you have placed your bet and then hit start to confirm, you cannot change your mind. The ball will then be released around the wheel. It will complete several revolutions before it finally comes to land on one of the 37 slots. Hopefully you have guessed correctly. If so, you will be paid instantly.

Roulette Strategy

When playing online roulette, the outcomes are completely random so there is no real strategy available that can help improve your chances of winning. There are, however, several techniques that you can use to help stretch your bankroll a little further. One of the most important things to do when playing roulette is to learn the odds. Your lucky number might be the number 8, but if you keep placing $10 bets only on this number to show up, you could end up losing your entire bankroll in just a few minutes.

Perhaps reduce the stake to $1.00 for a Straight Up Bet (just one number), remembering that the odds are 35:1. This means that you will eventually receive $36 when it shows up. You should also try to spread some other bets around the table. The lower the odds, the more likely that this outcome is going to happen, so use the odds table to place the most strategic bets possible.

If you have never played roulette before, it would be a good idea to find a fully licensed online casino and practice on this game in the free play demo mode, before you launch it in the real cash mode. Once you have learned how to place bets and once you have become more familiar with the payouts, only then should you advance to the real cash mode.
